Anna and Elsa: Icelandic Costumes by Ameza Anna and Elsa: Icelandic Costumes by Ameza
Since Frozen is set in Scandinavian environment I wanted to draw Anna and Elsa in Icelandic traditional costumes. The one Elsa is wearing is a formal one called "Kyrtill" also used in weddings. Anna is wearing a more casual costume called "Upphlutur" that can have many different colours.

Thanks! My sister got married in the same one as Elsa is in. I would wear them all day if I could.

To be exact, Frozen is greatly inspired by Norway. But this is lovely! I wish the costumes in the film were a bit closer to period clothes from that time, but they were still beautiful anyway, especially the rosemaling.
